Not everyone believes that Jesus died for everyone. A number of arguments have been put forward that Jesus died only for the people who will eventually be saved. I have spent a significant amount of time studying these arguments and recently had the great privilege of publishing an article interacting with one such argument for (what is commonly called) limited atonement. The title of the article is “The Efficacy of the Cross and Limited Atonement” (© 2025 by Dallas Theological Seminary) and it appeared in the academic journal Bibliotheca Sarca.
